Oklahoma City/////  The AVA Awards announced its winners for the 2010 international awards competition last Friday. Among the Gold Award recipients was the second film in the Invest Ed Anatomy of a Fraud series, “The Rogue Broker” and in the commercial/financial category, the Invest Ed sixty-second PSA, “Check it Out!” Also given Honorable Mention was the Invest Ed three-minute “Rogue Broker” documentary trailer. All three winners can be viewed on the Invest Ed Web site, investedok.org.

The AVA Awards recognizes outstanding achievement by creative professionals involved in the concept, writing, direction, shooting, and editing of audio-visual materials and programs. There were over 1,700 entries from throughout the United States, Canada and several other countries in the 2010 competition.

Entries include film, analog and digital productions viewed in a wide variety of mediums- from movie screens to televisions to computers. Entrants include audio, video and film production companies, web developers, advertising agencies, PR firms, corporate and government communication departments, producers, directors, editors and shooters.

The Ava Awards is sponsored and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP). The international organization consists of several thousand production, marketing, communication, advertising, public relations, and free-lance professionals.

Invest Ed is an investor education collaboration of the Oklahoma Securities Commission and the University of Oklahoma Outreach. The multi-faceted program is designed to help Oklahomans protect themselves from investment fraud through awareness and education.

Award winning Invest Ed programs include, the Anatomy of a Fraud documentary series, the Investment Minute TV and radio PSA series, and Invest Ed STARS (Students Tracking and Researching the Stock Market), STARS is an unbiased stock market portfolio program created for students, grades 9-12.
